NPI was one of several national inspection companies that I researched prior to getting in to the business. Their package, training, and support was head and shoulders above any other franchise, and their long term support has been critical to my success as a home inspector. When I decided to become a Home Inspector I wanted the best training possible even though I was a General Contractor. I also wanted to have support when I needed it and I wanted value for my investment. I checked out all the franchises available at the time and decided on NPI because of their friendliness on the phone, value offered and history in the business. What sealed the deal for me was my one day trip to Omaha to meet the staff and see the training facility. It blew me away the the President of the company, Roland Bates, took his time to meet with me personally and even took me to lunch. I was sold! Moving from New York to Florida, to start my business, was going to be nearly impossible without "name recognition" to back me. After reviewing and interviewing all the inspection franchises, NPI really stood out from the others. It wasn't even close. No promises have been unkept. Technical training, marketing and ongoing support have allowed me to become one of the more successful inspection companies in the Tampa Bay area in a very short time. When I decided to change my career path from an electrician to property inspector, I knew the best way to proceed would be through a franchise. Like everyone looking for a franchise, I Googled, homes inspector franchises, and several came up. I called them all. My research was thorough and exhaustive, but to make a good decision my time was well spent. The first franchise I called, they put down other franchises and was very, very pushy on how well they do. He turned me off, but I invested time in learning all I could about what support they would "offer me". It turned out it was minimal and their royalties were not.
